Ac tune up. Cleared drain and trap. Replaced filter. Took pressures and tested all components. System running normally. Found bacterial growth on evaporator coil, recommend uv treatment.
Folks arrived on 08/01/2021 for customer stating there was no water. Upon arrival we started by putting the softener into bypass and running some faucets. We immediately noticed a difference. We fan everything in the house and suggested the softener may be the issue. The softener is less then a year old and water source put it in. Customer is going to call water source to see if they will fix it. I left unit in bypass for now so that the customer has water pressure. I then thanked customer for choosing folks and left.
Customers left side spill switch tripped again, reset spill switch and system came on. Took draft readings with system running and system off. With system off was getting a draft reading of -.004, with system running was getting a reading anywhere from .001 to .003 draft, the water heater itself is fine wouldnâ€™t hurt to have chimney looked at, but speaking with Greg itâ€™s the room itself these systems donâ€™t really have a return they take air from hallway and thatâ€™s it and goes directly to furnance, old water heaters didnâ€™t have a problem due to they didnâ€™t have spill switches on them so they wouldnâ€™t trip, will need to return to properly asses the venting of the room.
Will need to return Monday after system has thawed out to see why unit froze.
Customer stated home not cooling not much air flow at vents, found air handler running and could hear refrigerant lines starving for refrigerant, found system completely frozen over and line set going outside a block of ice, will have to return tomorrow when system is thawed out to test what the issue is, left fan only running to help thaw out system. Installed new vapor sensor on the American water heater. Reset and tested the system operation. In about 30-45 minutes the customer will have hit water.
Ac tune up. Cleared trap and drain. Replaced filter. Took temperature readings. Tested zone dampers. Tested blower motor and capacitor. Took running pressures. Tested compressor, fan, capacitor and contactor. Found capacitor reading very low on fan side, replaced outdoor capacitor with turbo 200. System is running normally.
Service for low water pressure: arrived to home to find that when customer ran water and flushed toilet the water pressure dropped. Explained to customer how pressure reducing valve had to be replaced. Found that main water gate valve was broken. This would not allow us to change the prv due to the valve needed to be replaced. Gave customer estimate for two new ips ball valves before and after meter and also the prv replacement. Customer went ahead with service. We need to call town and schedule water to be turned off so we can replace valve. Customer is satisfied with service.
Completed annual maintenance on air conditioning system, customer had changed return filter 20x24x1, cleaned indoor coil, tested condensate pump, cleared drain line, checked all wiring connections on control board, delta t reading at 16 degrees, amp readings of blower motor normal, at condenser tested capacitor which tested in range, contactor tested normal, amp readings of compressor and fan motor normal, pressures tested normal, brushed outdoor coil and wiped down condenser, system operational and working, customer renewed maintenance agreement.
Arrived at customers home to move stove back into place. Upon arriving the customer informed me that the stove couldnâ€™t move all the way back due to the fact that the gas line needed to be adjusted. I simply pushed the pipe down further and was able to push the stove flush against the wall. Everything was in working order on departure.
I arrived to customer home to do a home inspection included with maintenance agreement,, i provide six estimates for future job ,
Replaced condenser, brazed in existing lines, tied in electrical, replaced piston, pressure tested, pulled vacuum, charged, tested, system operational
Customer had no hot water, went to water heater to find 7 flash code, FVS sensor has failed will need to follow up with customer on pricing, customer did state when they purchased home that home may had gas leak all the gas piping is drenched in pro bubbles and central Hudson said there was no leak. We can start with a new sensor if that doesnâ€™t work may be a gas valve issue which this water heater has a smart gas valve and unit is only three years old.
The customer stated the blower was coming on but no cool air. Also that the condenser was on as well. Went out to the condenser and found the condenser fan on but not the compressor. Found a few burnt wires including the common and the compressor wire that connect to the capacitor. Repaired the wiring and replaced the capacitor. Tested the system operation after repairs. The system is operational. The system is 16 years old. Anything can happen at anytime with it.
Found condenser making a loud humming noise everything was running, system has a new capacitor, found relay rattling internally of contactor, replaced contactor and noise went away, secured capacitor which was just dangling inside unit, tested pressures which were normal. Customer signed up for maintenance agreement, also interested in water treatment system for home will call office to set a estimate for water quality test.
Folks arrived on 07/28/2021 for a leak in the ceiling. Upon arrival customer showed me were the leak was coming from. We ran everything in the bathroom above for approximately 20 mins and nothing began to leak. We also had someone shower to see if there was an issue there and still no leak. I also checked the trim in the shower one section was loose and I siliconed it to see if it would fix problem. I also looked in the attic to see if I saw sunlight from the vents, I saw a little bit, customer is going to wait until it rains again to see if that is the issue. Customer is going to keep an eye on it for now and if it continues he will get back to us. I thanked customer for choosing folks and left
Unit was not getting power. GFI outlet was tripped. Customer stated they recently noticed all clocks in house were blinking, indicating power had gone out. Tested unit, unit ran as it should on demand. System operational.
Upon arrival the customer said he had another company come out to diagnose the issue but wanted a second opinion. Diagnosed a bad blower motor. Had 24v from C and G on the board. Had 240v to the blower motor but nothing was coming on. Called RJ Murray for pricing and availability on the blower motor. It would need to be ordered. 2 week delivery time unless expedited shipping was put in. The customer will call and let us know if he wants the replacement blower motor done.
AC Tune Up
Customers pilot light was out on furnace and got nervous when he tried to relight pilot heard crackling noise so shut system off, inrelit pilot and heard then tackling noise system has a a lot of corrosion and lint from dryer which was burning off thermocouple, explained to customer pilot has nothing to do with AC, turned AC on which system fired right up, customer has a estimate for furnace replacement next week, everything else operational.
Completed annual maintenance on air conditioning system with MA. Just explained to customer that system is getting up there in age and has R22 refrigerant which is no longer produced. System operational and working.
Arrived at customers home to replace a 50 gallon natural gas atmospheric water heater. I began by having the main water shutoff and draining down old water heater. I then disconnected water supply and gas lines I proceeded to remove old water heater and set new water heater in place. I reconnected gas and water lines then ran water heater through startup operations to ensure customer had hot water on departure. Everything was in working order on departure.
Sealed fresh air intake piping from furnace customer stated was leaking. Checked operation of cooling, zoning, running pressures and temperatures. Found system set to run in lowest fan speed in cooling. Set furnace to run in proper speed for cooling and rechecked airflow to first and second floor.
Service for leak under kitchen sink arrived to home to find that leak was coming from cold side braided line on faucet that is build put into faucet. Customer order new faucet we will return to install new faucet when parts become available.
I arrived to customer home to check a previous job done. The gas line was relocated is not letting the w stove set in place properly, we will have to fix the gas line again so that the stove can be push back In place , I couldnâ€™t do the job my self because I donâ€™t have any materials in truck 14 ,joe say that we will have to reschedule for Friday at the end of the day. And the customer has ok with us coming back Friday, I try to fixed but I didnâ€™t have the right material.
