To start, my technician Scott was wonderful. Very professional and knowledgeable. However, Folkes charged me $734 for replacing a capacitor, which after some research is only a $79 part (not a Chinese replica, but the SAME part that was installed. This was not an emergency call, nor was it unique or outdated equipment that was difficult to service. Very satisfied with the service, but will not use them again due to their surprisingly high price.

Air conditioner condenser fan blade broke. Came out to do a service visit to check. Had I known the technician was simply going to just write down the model number of my unit I would have saved them the visit! Have to wait through the whole weekend without AC without any plan other than “we will find out the blade part number on Monday”. Instead, I took 5 minutes to find the part number on the blade. They noted “would probably be $500 to fix likely.” The blade is no more than $80, so I don’t know what that type of markup is. Again, no plan or care that I’ll be without AC until the part number is found… then ordered… then rescheduled to fix. Good thing I know how to use a screwdriver and took the 10 minutes to find the part number on the blade myself… I guess a $90 service visit saved me $500 since this is clearly something someone can do on their own. Don’t have something break on a Friday. It’ll only be a priority on Monday. And then maybe a part can get ordered for sometime the following week. Thank goodness for screwdrivers + internet + Amazon.

Completed annual ac tune up of two systems. Systems are not operating properly. Customer bought home two weeks ago. I found both air handlers and evap coils are original to home but both outdoor condensers have been replaced. Found used copper fittings all behind condenser laying on ground which indicates someone was here within the last couple of months to perform some sort of repairs. I believe previous homeowner tried to make it look like the house had operating systems. Second floor evap coil is rated for R22 ONLY and found it’s connected to a 410a ONLY condenser. Delta t is about 9 degrees for both floors. Recommend replacement of both systems. Found second floor coil plugged solid with dust and dirt. Completely cleaned from top to bottom of coil.
Performed ac tune up. Cleaned coils and tested the system. Cleared the condensate drain. No issues to report.
Completed full duct cleaning of two systems. Each grill was taken down and wiped/disinfected. Also completed Uv light installation on system in attic.
Found second floor condenser not energizing. System off on low pressure switch. R22 system has no refrigerant. Second floor system needs to be replaced. Set appointment for, replacement estimate.
Folks arrived on 07/30/2021 to install a new well tank.Upon arrival I cut the power to the old well tank. I then drained the tank down and began to cut the old one out. I then removed the old tank and old valve. After that I put the new tank in and connected to the old poly line from the well and connect back to the house. I added a new shut off valve after the tank. I then checked the pressure of the tank and it was at the right pressure. I then wired the tank back up and turned the power on. I checked that the pressure switch was working correctly, the pump turned on at 40psi and shut off at 60psi. There are no leaks and the customer is satisfied. I thanked the customer for using folks and left.

Forced end switch open so customer could have hot water.
This is to install a new water treatment meant system including an ASP2 well sanitizing system to help with the hardness, as well as a uv light filter combo to help kill the bacteria that can form in the well. Folks arrived on 07/30/2021 to install water softener and uv light. Upon arrival I started by turning the water off to the house and draining the house down. I also put valves on both sides of the filter to have easier access changing the filter. I explained to the customer how to change the filter and set the counter for the uv light to 365.
